The MOBOX and MOMOverse launch is the first metaverse to integrate with the Binance ecosystem and will be available from November 30.
MOBOX, a GameFi platform that uses blockchain technology in rewarding player engagement and interaction, is launching its MOMOverse on Binance. An announcement issued on a blogpost read:
“A BIG new announcement has been made and we are thrilled and excited to be part of the reveal — The MOBOX MOMOverse Phase One is launching on the Binance ecosystem! With this launch we are also giving away 5000 Mystery Boxes valued at over $1,000,000 BUSD — read on to find more details on this awesome event!”
The MOMOverse game universe becomes the first metaverse to integrate with the Binance ecosystem. In addition, users can only access this through the Binance app.
The registration phase of this MOMOverse initiative will begin on November 30th, granting users the opportunity to access some game modes. Examples include free-to-play and play to earn on the go modes. Furthermore, the gaming platform intends to grow out its game offerings by adding a suite of new games soon.
In addition, MOBOX is also launching the MOBOX Block Brawler on mobile that players can also engage with. Here they are privy to the PvP and PvE features of the MOMOverse through the app launched for their mobile phones. An official MOBOX Twitter account first made the announcement on November 27th which read:
“Hey MOBOXers. Wanna have an even better experience playing #MOMO Block Brawler on your mobile? Well guess what?.. you can ! Our Block Brawler APP is AVAILABLE NOW!”
The MOBOX Block Brawler operates a role-playing game format with emphasis on the MOMOverse strategy feature. Here, players use their ‘MOMOs’ to compete against other MOMOs or bosses to earn rewards and perks. Some of these include equipment, talent points, and skill upgrades for better battle strategies.
How the MOBOX and MOMOverse Application Works on Binance
Each user will have an assigned MOBOX avatar on the MOMOverse, with supporting MOMO companions dubbed. Furthermore, there is a MOBOXChain, a unique NFT POS blockchain network governed by players’ in-game assets. The NFTs accrued during the total span of play will function as users’ nodes on the MOBOX blockchain network. Additionally, this will also afford users instantaneous transactions. Although the MOBOXChain is slated to launch later, the MOBOX platform holds sway in the interim on the Binance Smart Chain.
MOMOs minted on the blockchain all have hashpower peculiar to each token at the time of minting. Furthermore, the MBOX Governance token will be mined by the MOMOs according to the hashpower. Lastly, upgrading MOMOs will lead to a corresponding hashpower upgrade – thereby increasing overall node hashpower.
An extended feature of the MOMOverse dubbed MOMOworld Alpha will launch on the Binance ecosystem on December 6th. This is where users get to finally gain the due rewards earned during the pre-registration phase.
Earlier in the month, Binance launched a slew of fan tokens for popular association football clubs. These include Santos FC and FC Porto.
