A post by Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama on X has gained significant attention from SHIB holders. The post, which references the upcoming dog-themed meme coin SHIFU, also backed by the Shiba Inu developers, has triggered various reactions within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Kusama’s post was made in response to a tweet by prominent crypto investor Lark Davis, who has more than 1 million followers. Lark announced that the developers who created SHIB are introducing a new dog to the crypto market, SHIFU, referring to it as ‘The Master Of All.’ He described the token as a legitimate meme coin, developed by the team behind the second-biggest meme coin by market capitalization and community in the crypto space.
Lark also mentioned that substantial airdrops would be available for users holding SHIB, BUBBLE, LEASH, and IONFT. This announcement has sparked diverse speculation within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, with some users predicting the new dog-themed meme coin will surge by 100x upon launch.

In response, Kusama wrote a cryptic post stating:
“Did someone say Airdrop?”
Despite some users’ excitement, others have expressed dissatisfaction with the crypto project, accusing it of deception and arguing that anonymity implies fraud.
Lucie, a prominent figure within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, predicted that the crypto-holder population would triple by 2030. She encouraged people to embrace cryptocurrency opportunities early and urged users to increase their involvement with SHIFU.
While SHIFU is still in development, it is not the only project brewing within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. TREAT, another project in the pipeline, will serve as the gas token for the Shiba Inu blockchain and the official reward token of the crypto project. When recently asked about the launch date, the lead developer provided no specific timeline, only indicating it would be “soon.”
Kusama recently made a post on his X page, referencing the TREAT token and calling for collective effort within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. He said:
“WE ARE SHIB AND WE ARE ALIGNED. TIME FOR A MEMLITARY OPERATION. READY?? $TREAT.”
Reacting to this, Shibarium Updates, a news page for the Shiba Inu community, stated that the community is ready and prepared to get involved with the token.
Users are closely monitoring developments regarding both SHIFU and TREAT tokens. The launch of these tokens could increase activity within the Shiba Inu ecosystem and potentially drive up prices of established tokens like SHIB.
SHIB’s price has resumed its bullish trend after a slight pullback, showing a more than 3% increase in the past 24 hours, indicating a recovery in bull momentum.
With several projects in development within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, the token may continue its upward trajectory. However, the timeline for these projects’ launches remains uncertain.
