An English singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne, popularly known as “Prince of Darkness”, has also joined the trend of celebrities venturing into the crypto space as a recent announcement unveils that the singer has launched his first NFT collection dubbed Cryptobatz.
Following a recent announcement, talented Ozzy Osbourne has just disclosed that he is set to launch his Cryptobatz collection, a set of non-fungible tokens he has created in collaboration with NFT studio Sutter Systems.
Interests in NFTs have been on a skyrocketing pace since the beginning of the year and the trend has continued till the end of the year. Hence, it appears that non-fungible tokens are already making headway towards the mainstream.
Ozzy expressed how he managed to find his path to the crypto space saying:
“I’ve been trying to get in on the NFT action for a while so when I asked Sharon for a Bored Ape for Christmas after several failed attempts of buying my own, she said no, so I decided to create my own.”
9,666 Unique NFT Bats from Ozzy Osbourne to Be Available Next Month
The NFT collection includes 9,666 totally unique NFT bats which will be unveiled in January. Hence, enthusiasts can begin to acquire the tokens by mid January, 2022.
Per the announcement, Cryptobatz will feature a model known as MutantBatz which offers users the opportunity to ‘bite’ and mutate with other NFTs like Bored Ape Yacht Club, SupDucks, Cryptotoadz and some others from their digital wallet.
Hence, allowing users to combine the functionalities of two separate projects while birthing an additional NFT. Individuals who are able to successfully apply with the project will get the chance to mint up to three CryptoBatz per digital wallet. The public minting is scheduled to commence in early February.
Ozzy mentioned a few details on the design the project adopts saying; “CryptoBatz is a fucking mental project for NFT collectors and fans. The design pays tribute to one of my most iconic on-stage moments and is a chance to acquire a rare piece of art history. I love it!”
The announcement further revealed that the pre-sale for the project is currently ongoing. Interested participants can make their purchase through the CryptoBatz discord channel. It also promised that further 2,500 guaranteed CryptoBat pre-sale whitelist passes will be made available via the same channel.
Ozzy further announced that he will be launching a new development for his NFT project dubbed AncientBatz. The project will feature as a treasure hunt for CryptoBatz holders which will see the virtual Batz scattered around the globe in hidden locations.
