BitPay will take part in the Transact conference which is to be held from March 31st to April 2nd at the Monscone Center in San Francisco.

Transact 15 is a trade show which is held every year to gather tech and payment giants such as American Express, Visa, PayPal, Bank of America, Chase, making them learn about new technologies, discuss important issues, and start partnerships. Actually, this event is a traditional payments conference. But this year Bitcoin is going to be involved in it.

“ETA is at the forefront of payments technology, and TRANSACT 15 is our industry’s most important event,” says Jason Oxman, CEO of ETA. “With the launch of our World of Bitcoin showcase, and our partnership with BitPay to accept bitcoin payments, TRANSACT 15 is now the place to be for digital currency in 2015.”

Being a member of the Electronic Transactions Association, BitPay will participate in the above mentioned big event which is also called “the place to come to get business done.” Furthermore, Tony Gallippi, the co-founder of BitPay, will be among the primary speakers on a panel named “Digital Currency – Changing the Payments Ecosystem”. Adam White from Coinbase and Sean Neville will also participate. The panel moderator is David Bailey from BTC Media.

“BitPay is working with ETA to increase bitcoin acceptance and raise awareness about cryptocurrency via our exhibit booth at TRANSACT 15,” said Tony Gallippi. “TRANSACT 15 will be a great arena for bitcoin companies to showcase their new products and services while connecting with leaders within the payments industry.”

Emily Vaughn, marketing manager at BitPay, adds:

“This is the first major traditional payments conference where we are seeing a lot of involvement from Bitcoin companies. Having a presence and presenting thought leadership at events like Transact 15 is critical for the growth of the Bitcoin ecosystem.”

What’s more, Heartland Payments Systems, one of the largest payment processors in the United States, has recently teamed up with BitPay. About 300 000 businesses use the technology of Heartland. That’s why, thanks to this partnership, it can be easier to know which merchants would be ok with bitcoin.

Julia Patterson, communications manager at BitPay, comments:

“Businesses working in the traditional payments industry are usually excited about getting involved with Bitcoin once all of their skepticism has been addressed. No large payments company is going to adopt Bitcoin on a whim, nor should they.”

Lots of important companies such as Stripe, TD Bank, Square, will attend the conference to hear about the possibilities and powers of bitcoin and potentially integrate it into their workflow.

“The Bitcoin technology stands on its own two legs,” Patterson also said. “It’s our job to be the best ambassadors for the technology as possible.”

TRANSACT 15 will take place March 31April 2 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and registration is open with limited early rates available at Transact15 website.
