ChangeTip, an Internet-based bitcoin tipping system, has announced that it is now possible to send bitcoins through Facebook.
Once limited to Twitter and Reddit, ChangeTip users may now exchange bitcoin tips via a more “friendly” platform. Both digital currency and social media enthusiasts are excited with the new feature.
“Finally, and thanks to popular demand, Facebook tipping is here for everyone, “ was written in a blog post. “We are so excited for you to begin using this feature. We look forward to hearing your feedback, thoughts, questions, and comments, so feel free to reach out to either [email protected] or directly to me over Twitter @victoriavaneyk.”
According to a newly appointed vice-president for product Dan Held, adding Facebook has been on the company’s to-do list for quite some time. The process of sending a bitcoin tip on Facebook is rather simple – all users need to do is connect their accounts within the ChangeTip settings panel.
The Facebook option is displayed in the ChangeTip’s main tipping screen and the interface populates the ‘Send to’ field with a user’s Facebook friends. Users can specify how many bitcoins are sent, to which recipients and can add personal messages together with the tips.
Besides, there is a ChangeTip application on Facebook, which means that users can easily access the tipping tool.
Twitter was the first social network to integrate digital currency tipping features, however, with this new integration, Facebook has become the most important social network to integrate Bitcoin into its platform.
Moreover, the announcement servers as a proof that Facebook is interested in the great potential of the Bitcoin technology, which may lead to other changes, such as altcoins being able to integrate their own tipping applications in the social network.
The company’s vision is based on generosity through tipping. The ChangeTip Team believes that tipping is an important step towards making much more pervasive changes in the way the world’s financial systems work.
With a set of excellent and professional engineers, funding, and connections, the company has been able to use cooperation as a sustainable way to fund social-good causes and charity.
